Sourdough is a tricky friend but understanding its potential can be incredibly rewarding.  

This class will teach you the fundamentals of sourdough – mixing, shaping, baking and recreating it time and time again at home.

Using hand mixing and shaping techniques, you’ll come away with the skills and confidence to master the art of long fermented breads. During the day there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and trouble shoot your loaves. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own sourdough culture to take home with you, and learn the methods for keeping it happy and healthy.

At the end of the class you’ll leave with at least 3 loaves made using a variety of flours and ingredients, your own sourdough culture, a handy scraper and a booklet containing all the recipes you used during the day inside your very own Two Magpies tote bag.
